{Photo Courtesy:Ajay Menon} Recently came across this really old song..its has such cool words..heard it when number names,english grammar and tables were doing the groundwork to build the person I see in the mirror today.I never knew the words then...I do now...these are words that I've always wanted to say,feel and thought of as a little girl..But these things I dreamed of were too "big" for my little heart..so I would just push it all off logically saying to myself,"NAH!This happens only in dreams n stories"..but,I'm surprised,rather joyful seeing the smallest of them come true..I do find snowflakes on my eyelashes on snowy December days which I then saw only on Christmas greeting cards..I use the woolen mittens and throw away the brown paper bags today which I then saw only in cartoons..What I had dreamed of then weren't so "hard n big" to happen after all.. Those innocently painted pictures on our mind-screen slowly start taking shape whet...

Being Mommy

One of the first advice we received on becoming new parents to our beautiful child, as we reveled in the exuberant joy this boy brought was : 'Yes he is a huge blessing, but never take this for granted'. I sit here today 15 months after the birth of my first born, who we named Zachary because 'God has remembered' us in His goodness and enriched our lives for the best. As a new mother, I found myself in this new world that revolved around another human being(and still does) .I confess to have taken the words of other parents too lightly about my life taking a 180 degree turn. I didn't think my peaceful nights, quiet lunches, the 'me-time' including showers, dolling up, night outs, travels, dates would practically be non existent and that I would have to deliberately make time and put in extra efforts to make it happen. The good news is, you eventually learn tricks and what works best for you and it all functions in a completely new way. I am much blesse...
